Each price is from the company's own pricing page on the date shown, in its own currency; we do not convert. A page we could not read is marked could not read, and a page that asks for a quote is marked quote only. Prices can differ by country.
What pushes the price up
- 1 of the 8 shows a quote request instead of a price.
- 3 of the 8 offer a free plan, and 2 offer a time-limited trial.
- 2 of the 8 state a setup, hardware or licence cost on top of the monthly price (the notes below say which).
What to know about each price
- Mindbody: No per-user fee and no onboarding fee, but the price rises with each extra location.
- Clubworx: Priced by active members, with a free plan for up to 20. The page has a billed-once-per-year toggle that saves 20%, and the figures here are its default view.
- WeeksPro: Every feature is on every plan and there is no per-booking commission, so the price depends only on member count. Prices are ex GST.
- GymMaster: Prices are per site and exclude tax. Door-access hardware is sold separately, a branded member app is A$200 a month plus an A$600 setup fee, and SMS is priced on request.
- Gymdesk: The lower prices need Gymdesk Payments (US and Canada) or an approved partner for processing elsewhere.
- PushPress: Card and ACH processing rates are printed on each plan card and fall as the plan price rises.
- Trainerize: Priced by client seats (Pro needs at least 5, Studio Plus at least 500), with paid add-ons from $10 a month and a one-time $169 fee for a custom branded app.
- Glofox: a price comes only after working through a form on the pricing page.
What to look for in gyms software
Classes, memberships and failed payments in one place, so the week's attendance and the week's money agree.
A tool for gyms has to fix these:
- Failed payments go unnoticed.
- Class bookings are in an app the member does not use.
- Cancellations are a maze.
Our price
We have not set a price for ours: there is nothing built to sell yet, and the price will be on the page before anyone pays. What we plan to build: gyms.
Questions
About the price
What is the cheapest gym management software?
Prices are in the currency each page names and are not ranked across currencies: 4 in A$, from A$89 to A$119 a month; 2 in US$, from US$75 to US$79 a month. Trainerize is left out of these figures because its lowest plan covers only 2 clients. The lowest price is often the plan with the fewest features, so check what each includes.
Why do prices differ so much?
Mostly who is counted and what is included: per user or per seat, the number of jobs or products, payment processing, and setup.
What happens when a payment fails?
Planned: a failed payment is retried on a schedule, the member is told, and it appears on a list for you.
Can members book on a phone?
Planned: a member page with classes, bookings and a waiting list.
How would it be priced?
Not set: there is nothing built to sell yet, and the price will be on this page before anyone pays.
