What pushes the price up

What to know about each price
- Karbon: Per-user pricing and all prices exclude GST. Monthly billing is open only to teams of 4 or more.
- Ignition (Practice Ignition): Solo includes 20 active clients and charges $7 for each active client over that.
- Xero Partner Hub + Practice Management (formerly Xero Practice Manager): Free only for practices at Silver, Gold or Platinum partner level; everyone else pays after a 14 day trial. The page says Xero Practice Manager has been renamed and folded into Xero Partner Hub.
- Financial Cents: Every plan is a 12-month agreement, and monthly billing on Team and Scale needs at least 5 users. Month-End Close is charged per client per month and signature checks cost $1 to $2 each, both on top.
- TaxDome: Priced per seat per year, with a longer commitment shown on the default tab. Extra seats for short-term staff are $100 a month on a yearly Pro plan, and seasonal seats on a yearly Business plan are $500 for a 4-month term.

- Due dates live in a spreadsheet.

About the price
What is the cheapest accounting practice management software?
Prices are in the currency each page names and are not ranked across currencies: 2 in A$, from A$59 to A$163.90 a month; 3 with no currency named. The lowest price is often the plan with the fewest features, so check what each includes.
Why do prices differ so much?
Mostly who is counted and what is included: per user or per seat, the number of jobs or products, payment processing, and setup.
Does it replace Xero or MYOB?
No. It would manage the practice's work, not the client's books.
How would due dates work?
Planned: each client has a set of recurring jobs with their dates, and the queue shows what is due.
Can clients upload documents?
Planned: a request link per client.
