How much does personal trainer software cost?

Of the 5 we could price for personal trainers: 2 in US$, from US$19.90 to US$26.34 a month; 2 with no currency named. Trainerize is left out of these figures because its lowest plan covers only 2 clients. Ours is not set yet.

What pushes the price up

  • 2 of the 5 offer a free plan, and 5 offer a time-limited trial.

What to know about each price

  • Trainerize: Priced by client seats (Pro needs at least 5, Studio Plus at least 500), with paid add-ons from $10 a month and a one-time $169 fee for a custom branded app.
  • PT Distinction: Priced by clients included, then a per-client charge for extras that falls to $1.60 a month on Master, and extra trainers are free. The page says there are no commitments, minimum terms or hidden fees.
  • TrueCoach: Priced by active clients, and more than 50 clients means special pricing by email.
  • My PT Hub: The page shows two price sets and does not say which toggle option each belongs to.
  • Everfit: Pro and Studio are priced in client-count tiers, so the cost rises with every step up in clients. Automation (from $29 a month), payments and packages (from $9) and meal plans (from $39) are separate add-ons.

What to look for in personal trainers software

Programs, sessions and payments for a client list, without spreadsheets and chasing.

A tool for personal trainers has to fix these:

  • Programs live in spreadsheets.
  • Payments are chased.
  • Session notes are scattered.

Our price

We have not set a price for ours: there is nothing built to sell yet, and the price will be on the page before anyone pays. What we plan to build: personal trainers.

Questions

About the price

What is the cheapest personal trainer software?

Prices are in the currency each page names and are not ranked across currencies: 2 in US$, from US$19.90 to US$26.34 a month; 2 with no currency named. Trainerize is left out of these figures because its lowest plan covers only 2 clients. The lowest price is often the plan with the fewest features, so check what each includes.

Why do prices differ so much?

Mostly who is counted and what is included: per user or per seat, the number of jobs or products, payment processing, and setup.

What does it keep for each client?

Planned: their program, sessions booked and used, payments and progress notes.

Does it take payments?

Recurring payments are planned, using the same checkout as StockRoom.

Can clients see their own program?

Planned: a client page on a phone.
