What we build
Things we can build
Replace a spreadsheet
The sheet that three people edit and nobody trusts, as an app with a history of every change.
Quote, order and job tools
Your price list, your steps, your paperwork, on a phone.
Customer and supplier pages
A page where a trade customer orders or a supplier confirms a delivery.
Stock and order systems
Built on the same engine as StockRoom, shaped to your shelves.
Connections to your tools
Links to tools such as Xero, built where their systems allow it.
Dashboards
The numbers you already have, drawn the way you read them.
How it goes
Four steps, no surprises
We write down what it must do
One page you can read and sign off. If it cannot be written down, it is not ready to build.
We build the smallest useful version
The part that saves you the most time first, so you are using it early.
You use it and we change it
Real use finds what a plan cannot.
You keep it
On final payment you own the code we write for you, and your data is yours, with a full export from the first day. Our own tools and any third-party parts stay under their licences.
Renting or building: do the sums
Renting software looks cheap until you count the people. Tradify's lowest plan is A$48 per user a month, before GST (read 12 October 2026, Australian page). A crew of eight on it pays A$384 a month, A$4,608 a year, for as long as they use it. ServiceM8 instead charges a flat A$29 a month, GST included, for unlimited users with a cap on jobs, which suits a different crew. The honest comparison is always your crew size against each price, and sometimes the answer is to rent. We will tell you if it is.
What other suppliers charge for custom tools: agency price guides we have read put a simple custom tool from about A$15,000, and larger systems from A$50,000. At A$4,608 a year, renting for eight people takes more than three years to reach A$15,000, before hosting and changes to a custom tool. Our quote comes after the one-page scope, in writing.
Questions
About custom software
How much does custom software cost?
It depends on the scope, so we do not guess a number. We write the scope first, then quote it in writing, including how it is paid and what it costs to run. Other suppliers' published ranges are in the section above.
Who owns it?
On final payment you own the code we write for you, and your data is yours with a full export. Our own tools and any third-party parts stay under their licences, and the scope says which.
What if we want to stop?
You keep what you have paid for and your data. There is no lock-in contract.
Can it connect to Xero or our other tools?
Usually yes. We check each connection in the scope, because some tools limit what they let others read.
