What pushes the price up
- 3 of the 7 we could read charge per user, or for extra users, on at least one plan, so the price grows with the team.
- 3 of the 7 we could read show a quote request instead of a price.
- 2 of the 7 we could read offer a free plan, and 5 offer a time-limited trial.
- 3 of the 7 we could read state a setup, hardware or licence cost on top of the monthly price (the notes below say which).
What to know about each price
- Zoho Inventory: Plans cap orders, users and locations, and add-ons cost extra: users A$12, 500 more orders A$12, locations A$15.58, advanced warehousing A$190.83 (each per organization per month, billed annually).
- Unleashed: Prices exclude applicable taxes. Extra users are $69 (Core) or $79 (Pro) a month, sales orders are capped each month with paid upgrade bands, and one-off onboarding packages cost $449, $789 or $7,999.
- Cin7: Prices are in US dollars, exclude taxes and are for new customers. More integrations and more sale-order volume can be bought on top, and onboarding options are listed, with no prices shown for either.
- inFlow Inventory: A one-time onboarding package of 499 USD is required on most plans, and extra team members cost 29 USD a month each. The page offers no Australian dollar prices and does not say whether tax is included.
- Linnworks: Quote only: plans are tiered by monthly orders with charges for going over, and the page says there are no percentage fees. Onboarding is a one-off fee set per customer and add-on modules cost extra.
- Brightpearl: Quote only: a chat and demo come first, then a written cost breakdown before you sign. The page says unlimited users are included at no extra cost.
- Katana: The paid plan is a custom annual contract that includes a custom build and implementation, and there is no per-user charge.
What to look for in online sellers software
One count for every shelf and the packing bench, so you know what is really left before you list it again.
A tool for online sellers has to fix these:
- Overselling when one channel sells the last unit.
- Fees hide the real profit.
- Every channel has its own spreadsheet.
What to look for in wholesalers software
Know what is on the racking and the pick faces, and what to reorder before a trade customer rings.
A tool for wholesalers has to fix these:
- Orders arrive by email and phone and are typed again.
- Trade prices differ by customer.
- Back orders are tracked by memory.

Questions
About the price
What is the cheapest of these?
Prices are in the currency each page names and are not ranked across currencies: 2 in A$, from A$43 to A$412 a month; 2 in US$, from US$99 to US$349 a month. The lowest price is often the plan with the fewest features, so check what each includes. StockRoom is free to 50 products.
Why do prices differ so much?
Mostly who is counted and what is included: per user or per seat, the number of jobs or products, payment processing, and setup.
Does it sync with eBay, Etsy or Amazon?
No. The connections are listed in the app and every one is marked coming, so you record sales in StockRoom yourself.
Can it show profit after fees?
Not after marketplace fees. A product's sheet shows its margin (price minus cost), and there is a free fee calculator on the StockRoom site.
Can my trade customers order online?
Not built. A trade ordering page with each customer's own prices does not exist yet.
Does it handle pallets?
Places can go down to bin level, six levels deep. Pallet labels are not in the app.
