Each price is from the company's own pricing page on the date shown, in its own currency; we do not convert. A page we could not read is marked could not read, and a page that asks for a quote is marked quote only. Prices can differ by country.

What pushes the price up

  • 1 of the 5 charges per user, or for extra users, on at least one plan, so the price grows with the team.
  • 1 of the 5 offers a free plan, and 3 offer a time-limited trial.

What to know about each price

  • Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud: Priced per user and billed annually on an annual contract. Eligible nonprofits get 10 Core licences at no cost, and the page shows no tax, setup or implementation cost.
  • Donorbox: The free Standard plan has no monthly fee but takes a 2.95% to 3.95% platform fee on top of Stripe or PayPal processing. Pro is $150 a month and lowers the platform fee to 1.75% to 2%.
  • Beacon CRM: Priced by contacts and users, with 0% platform fees on payments. The FAQ says account set-up is done by certified implementation partners and is not part of the plan price, and Ultimate is quote-only.
  • Bloomerang: Prices are shown only as starting at and depend on how many records you track. Every plan has unlimited users, the Fundraising module cannot be bought without the CRM, and the page shows no free plan or trial.
  • Little Green Light: One plan with every feature and unlimited users, priced only by number of records, with no setup fee, no contract and no cancellation fee.

What to look for in charities software

Donors, gifts and grants in one place, with receipts that go out and deadlines that do not slip.

A tool for charities has to fix these:

  • Donor records and receipts are manual.
  • Grant deadlines are in someone's diary.
  • Reports for the board take days.

Our price

We have not set a price for ours: there is nothing built to sell yet, and the price will be on the page before anyone pays. What we plan to build: charities.

Questions

About the price

What is the cheapest donor management software?

Prices are in the currency each page names and are not ranked across currencies: 1 in US$, at US$70 a month; 1 in GBP, at GBP 33.50 a month; 3 with no currency named. The lowest price is often the plan with the fewest features, so check what each includes.

Why do prices differ so much?

Mostly who is counted and what is included: per user or per seat, the number of jobs or products, payment processing, and setup.

Can it receipt donations?

Planned: a receipt per gift. Tax receipt rules differ, so they would be checked with the charity's adviser.

Can it track grants?

Planned: a grant with its deadline, reporting dates and what was promised.

Can it report to the board?

Planned: a one page summary of giving, grants and volunteers.
