How much does brewery management software cost?

Of the 5 we could price for breweries: 1 in A$, at A$64.99 a month; 3 in US$, from US$30 to US$201 a month; 1 with no currency named. 1 more shows a quote request instead of a price. StockRoom is free to 50 products.

Each price is from the company's own pricing page on the date shown, in its own currency; we do not convert. A page we could not read is marked could not read, and a page that asks for a quote is marked quote only. Prices can differ by country.

What pushes the price up

  • 1 of the 6 we could read charges per user, or for extra users, on at least one plan, so the price grows with the team.
  • 1 of the 6 we could read shows a quote request instead of a price.
  • We found no free plan among the 6 we could read, and 4 offer a time-limited trial.

What to know about each price

  • Beer30 (The 5th Ingredient): Full Beer30 pricing depends on production volume and the bundle chosen, with unlimited users and 1-on-1 onboarding at no extra cost. Terms are month to month, or you can lock in a price with a contract.
  • Ollie: The page says there are no fees for support, onboarding or extra users, and the price does not rise with brewing volume.
  • BrewMan (Premier Systems): Charged per concurrent user, so the bill follows how many people are logged in at once, with no fixed term contract. The page does not say whether GST is included.
  • BrewPlanner: Two flat monthly plans; the page does not show setup fees, contract terms or an annual discount. The page footer is dated 2024.
  • Breww: Priced on the beer made, not the size of the team: a slider by hectolitres a year sets the monthly price, with unlimited users and no setup fee.
  • Ekos: No prices are published and every plan card says 'Request pricing'; the page offers a demo.

What to look for in breweries software

Kegs, grain, hops and packaging in one count, taproom and wholesale together.

A tool for breweries has to fix these:

  • Batches, kegs and excise sit in separate sheets.
  • Cost per litre is a guess.
  • Taproom and wholesale stock are counted separately.

Questions

About the price

What is the cheapest brewery management software?

Prices are in the currency each page names and are not ranked across currencies: 1 in A$, at A$64.99 a month; 3 in US$, from US$30 to US$201 a month; 1 with no currency named. The lowest price is often the plan with the fewest features, so check what each includes. StockRoom is free to 50 products.

Why do prices differ so much?

Mostly who is counted and what is included: per user or per seat, the number of jobs or products, payment processing, and setup.

Does it track batches and cost per litre?

Not yet. Batch records, lot numbers and a cost per litre are planned. The stock count works today.

Does it do excise?

No. An excise record for the tax return is planned and not built. Keep using what you use for excise until it is.

Can the taproom and the wholesale stock be one count?

Yes, as two places in one account, so one number covers both.
