Each price is from the company's own pricing page on the date shown, in its own currency; we do not convert. A page we could not read is marked could not read, and a page that asks for a quote is marked quote only. Prices can differ by country.
What pushes the price up
- 2 of the 5 charge per user, or for extra users, on at least one plan, so the price grows with the team.
- 2 of the 5 show a quote request instead of a price.
- 1 of the 5 offers a free plan, and 3 offer a time-limited trial.
- 1 of the 5 states a setup, hardware or licence cost on top of the monthly price (the notes below say which).
What to know about each price
- MRPeasy: From the 11th user a 10-user bundle is a flat $79 a month, and the Unlimited plan needs at least 2 users. Training is $150 an hour, and the page says no contracts and no mandatory implementation or training package.
- Fishbowl: An implementation package is required with every purchase and its price is not shown. AUD prices exclude GST, and Advanced pricing is always confirmed by quote.
- Unleashed: Prices exclude applicable taxes. Extra users are $69 (Core) or $79 (Pro) a month, sales orders are capped each month with paid upgrade bands, and one-off onboarding packages cost $449, $789 or $7,999.
- Katana: The paid plan is a custom annual contract that includes a custom build and implementation, and there is no per-user charge.
- Ekos: No prices are published and every plan card says 'Request pricing'; the page offers a demo.
What to look for in food manufacturers software
Ingredients, packaging and finished goods counted by place, with the whole team on one price.
A tool for food manufacturers has to fix these:
- A recall would mean days of detective work.
- Recipes scale badly in a spreadsheet.
- Cost per unit hides packaging and labour.
What StockRoom charges
Free to 50 products, then A$9, A$44 or A$89 a month. Prices in Australian dollars. Every plan includes your whole team. The stock side works today; what is still to come for each business is on its own page: food manufacturers.
Questions
About the price
What is the cheapest food manufacturing software?
Prices are in the currency each page names and are not ranked across currencies: 2 in A$, from A$345 to A$412 a month; 1 with no currency named. The lowest price is often the plan with the fewest features, so check what each includes. StockRoom is free to 50 products.
Why do prices differ so much?
Mostly who is counted and what is included: per user or per seat, the number of jobs or products, payment processing, and setup.
Can it trace a lot back to its ingredients for a recall?
Not yet. Lot numbers and expiry dates are planned, and recall tracing is the reason they matter. Until then it does not replace your lot records.
Does it do recipes and yields?
No. StockRoom does not do recipes, yields or production runs.
Can I print labels?
You can print barcode labels. Full product labels are not built.
