Questions
About software for restaurants
How much does restaurant management software cost?
Among the 5 we read: in A$ the lowest paid plan is A$49 a month (Bopple); 2 more name no currency. We do not convert currencies, so compare within a group. StockRoom is free to 50 products and then A$9 to A$89 a month.
Do I pay for each person?
Not with StockRoom: every plan includes the whole team.
Can StockRoom work out my food cost percentage?
Not yet. StockRoom does not cost recipes or dishes. What it does give you is cost of goods sold for a month or an income year: opening stock plus what you received minus what is left, at cost, to print or export. A dish's cost you work out by hand.
Does it replace my till or my table system?
No. Keep your till and your table system. StockRoom counts and orders stock; it does not take payments or record the dishes you sell. A till where each sale takes its recipe from the shelf has been built and tested on its own for cafes, and is not part of StockRoom.
Can my kitchen staff use it on a phone?
Yes. It is made for a phone first and everyone on your team is on every plan. What you record syncs between phones; an order you have placed in Buy, and a count you have started but not applied, stay on the phone that started them.
Can it count by weight or volume?
Not yet. Counts are whole numbers, so count by bag, tin, bottle or carton.
